Bread Crumb Travel Protection Spell

This is the time of year where people are doing a lot of traveling for vacations and to visit family and friends. I get terrible travel anxiety and I am always in need of some reassurance that I'm doing what I can to make sure all my family trips go as planned. After obsessively checking the bags, the house, the car, etc. a million times, I like to put a little witchy charm to everything just to give it that extra boost of closure. This is a simple spell to help give protection during your journeys.

What you will need:

• Bread crumbs

• Small pouch, container, or ziplock

• keys (house,car,etc.)

• bowl

Just like in the old tale of “Hansel & Gretel” you’ll be symbolically using the bread crumbs to ensure you safely arrive at your destination and then happily back home to your cozy abode. (And hopefully you won’t have to face a cannibalistic witch after being tempted to eat her house!)

 First you will need to pour your bread crumbs into your bowl. Keep the bowl filled with bread crumbs in a place that your remember so you can store your keys in them the night before your big trip. The next morning, gather some of the breadcrumbs and place them in your bag/pouch. Place the pouch in your car or purse and dump the remaining crumbs near your front door or garage. As you do this speak the following:

"Near or far and wherever I roam. My travels will bring me safely back home."

This spell can also be done in reverse for anyone who may be traveling to you. Instead of placing your keys in the bowl of crumbs, place a photo of the loved one who will be making the journey. Keep the photo safe in the bowl until they have arrived to you and safely back home. You can adjust the pronouns in the incantation above and chant it as you light a candle to guide their way to you.
