Thorn Bush Banishing Spell

Sometimes you just have those days when someone or something is just being a complete and utter “thorn in your side”.  No matter what you do, the situation just seems to annoy you and get worse.

Instead of ignoring the problem and letting it dig deeper into your side, take action to rid yourself of the annoyance with this simple "thorn bush" banishing spell.

What you will need:

• Small fireproof tray or jar
• Salt
• Sage
• White or black candle
• Stem or twig of thorns
• Twine

Step 1.  Fill your tray or jar with some salt and a small bit of sage. Whenever I'm doing a banishing or "hexing" spell, I like to use a hexagon shaped jar- I know, how sassy of me.

Step 2.  Wrap your twine around your thorny twig and candle and place in the salt.

Step 3.  Light the candle and speak the following:

“As this candle burns away,

A thorn in my side you will no longer stay”

Envision the "thorn in your side" becoming smaller and smaller until it *poofs* into dust. Whatever it is that has been disturbing you is no longer welcome in your space or in your mind.

Step 4. When your candle is finished burning down. Bury all the remnants- including the salt-in the earth. Wash and cleanse the jar to reuse it or recycle it responsibly.
